Kotor (Montenegro) , Dubrovnik (Croatia) , Skadar (Albania): visit Montenegro , Croatia and Albania in one weekend.
With magnificent Kotor , destination number one on Lonely planet as a launching pad, you’ll head to fabulous Dubrovnik and then south through Montenegro to undiscovered Albania, town of Skadar.
Along the way, you’ll climb the lanes of walled towns , walk along Adriatic sea and take a photos of Skadar Lake. You will be guided by locals along the way.
In only three days you will have a chance to taste Croatian , Montenegrin and Albanian traditional food and drink various vines from this area.
Day 1 - wine tasting Podgorica
Arrival at airport , wine tasting in Podgorica , coffee break in Budva and evening in Kotor Montenegro What a marvellous introduction to Montenegro: after arriving at the airport we will head directly for the vineyards Plantaze at Cemovsko polje , the largest contiguous vineyards in Europe. After wine tasting we will drive across Mt Lovcen , near the Old capital Cetinje, and stop for a short coffee break in Budva Old town .In the afternoon we will reach Kotor. You will have an opportunity to walk around narrow streets and enjoy the welcome dinner in traditional seafood restaurant Cesarica.
Day 2 - visit Dubrovnik
Cavtat and Dubrovnik , Croatia We will start at 09.00 , drive near Perast , pass through Herceg Novi and stop in Cavtat a small tourist village in Croatia for a coffee break. We will reach Dubrovnik by noon . Here you will start a sightseeing tour down the main street Stradun , enjoy wonderful views of some of the most famous landmarks in the Old town such as the Rector's Palace, Franciscan monastery , Palace Sponza , the Dubrovnik Cathedral, St. Vlaho Church and many others. You can also visit the locations used for scenes in Games of Thrones such as Pile gate and Lovrijenac fortress. After break for a lunch we will drive back to Kotor . Driving distance Kotor Dubrovnik 90 km , in one direction.
Day 3 - visit Skadar
Ulcinj and Skadar , Albania We will start our trip to Albania early in the morning. The first stop is planned in Ulcinj , Montenegrin town on the south coast. We will visit Ulcinj Old town and take photos of the longest beach in our country. After short drive we will pass the border crossing and reach Skadar. Shkodër (definite Albanian form: Shkodra, ), is a city and in northwestern Albania and one of the oldest and most historic places , as well as an important cultural and economic centre. The town is surrounded by the Skadar lake, and two rivers - Bojana and Drim. We will enjoy in a magnificent view from the fortress Rozafa, which dominates the city and has lasted for over two thousand years. You will also have an opportunity to taste local food in one of the traditional restaurants in town. Then we will drive to Podgorica . Driving distance Kotor Skadar 106 km in one direction.
Day 4 - transfer
Transfer to Podgorica airport for your back flight.
